Role overview
This Level 2 apprenticeship trains operatives to maintain sports turf and horticultural surfaces such as football pitches, cricket squares, golf courses, and athletics tracks. Apprentices learn to operate machinery, apply treatments, and carry out seasonal maintenance to keep playing surfaces in good condition. It can lead to roles as a Senior Grounds Operative, Head Groundsperson, or Greenkeeper.
