Role overview
A Gas Network Operative apprenticeship trains you to support the safe operation and maintenance of the gas distribution network under supervision, carrying out tasks such as excavation, pipe laying, and leakage response. You will work in the street environment assisting more experienced craftspeople on network maintenance and new connection projects. This standard leads to Gas Network Craftsperson and further specialist gas distribution roles.
