Role overview

The Butcher apprenticeship develops craft skills in the preparation, cutting and presentation of meat products for retail or wholesale environments. Apprentices learn to work with a full range of species, understanding primal cuts, value-added products and food safety. It leads to senior butcher, department manager or self-employed butchery roles.
